Topics can include how diabetes is diagnosed, difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, understanding diabetes in the body (diabetes physiology), how diabetes medications work, blood sugar targets, the basics of blood sugar testing, understanding food and diabetes, diabetes distress and burnout, protecting your heart and your health in diabetes.

Diabetes Manager University: an intensive training program to get participants up to speed on current diabetes practice in Canada. Available as a live 3 day program or on demand through our website. An intensive 1-day program covering diabetes review, continuous glucose monitoring, the research for the use of cardiorenal protective drugs, barriers to care.

Michelle Archer, RD, CDE has worked as a diabetes educator for over 20 years where she has witnessed how a person-centered and harm reduction approach improves the quality of life and health outcomes for people living with diabetes. She has extensive experience assisting Indigenous Peoples with navigating the complexities of the Canadian Healthcare System. She has a vision for Making a Difference in Diabetes in Canada and is passionate about helping people to Discover their Diabetes using their own life experiences to guide their journey.
